GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Amazing teachers and student, but it's been different culture because of constant change in leaders.

The best part about being at Columbia central high school is being in all the clubs I am in. I get the opportunity to help for towards the school and the community. The worst part is probably having my mom class. This school has always struggled with finding a good math teacher. My friend who is also a junior has never had a math teacher her whole high school experience. The thing I would like to see change is probably having blocks over periods. At this moment we have periods. We don't have alot of time to finish our work. Let alone some test. I am in a AP class and I have never been able to finish my test or quiz in class due to the period schedule. This is why I think if we had block scheduling at our school. Students would get more interaction with the teachers. And be able to focus more instead of rushing the whole time.

Great community and student events. A small, dedicated group of students and teachers do most of the representation and work around the school. Many students come from low income and dont preform well in the classroom, but overall I have been loved and supported at CHS.

I graduated from Columbia Central High in 2009. While I was there I was able to take a course in Engineering Design using software that dominates the field today (SolidWorks). My math and science teachers have had an enormous impact on my life and gave me the tools I needed to continue on and get a...
