Como Elementary School is a member of the Columbus City Schools District located on the west side of the city’s North Linden neighborhood. It offers public pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and elementary schooling through fifth grade. The mission of Como Elementary School is to deliver a rigorous education with clarity and creativity while leading with thoughtfulness and understanding of the whole child. Como Elementary School’s curriculum supplements reading and math Common Core Standards with science, social studies, writing and health. Students who benefit from additional support and assistance have access to reading intervention programs, individualized classroom instruction and tutoring, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and adaptive physical education. Each of these services is provided with the goal of returning students to mainstream educational settings if and when it becomes appropriate and beneficial to the student. Students enjoy art, music and physical education lessons each week, with the opportunity to advance to instrumental band and strings, choir, and handbell choir offered in the school's intermediate grade levels. Student progress, positive behavior and attendance receive recognition with awards programs throughout the year. Como Elementary School leadership, teachers, students and parents work together daily to ensure ongoing increases in the academic achievement of every child. Their shared goal is for 100 percent of Como primary students to meet the targets outlined in their Individualized Education Programs.

This school is terrible. No homework, ever. No books. The kids barely go to school. The bullying policy here is a joke.

They need to truly get some hekp. They have cut out honor roll because the stidulents who don't get it feel a certain type of way. They have no school assemblies to honor the kids. They have no 5th grade dance. They bRely have money for each class to take a 1 field trip. They NEED AN ASSISTANT PRINC...
