My experience at Carondelet high school has been great and life changing. However it has also been tremendously hard and difficult to find my place in my community. Having dyslexia has made me learn from my struggles and find what works for me. I have been given a lot of support and accommodations through my teachers and case manager. The social part of high was not easy for me. Coming from a super small school with only 16 students in my graduating 8th grade class to 800 people at carondelet was a huge adjustment and took time. For me I would say it is a good school and provides you with the tools to get into college and prepares you for the future. They also have other great resources and opportunities to try new things and meet new people.

Being able to join Carondelet has been such a privilege. From being greeted by members of staff and teachers in the hallways to going into every classroom ready for a new day is also so fun and educational at Carondelet. My teachers since the start of my freshmen year have been very kind to me. They make it a habit to check in on me every day and always have a bubbly personality. Teachers make class days for me fun even when I don't have the energies to learn. Every lesson is never boring and I actually enjoy engaging in lessons. Even on my worst days being at Carondelet has brightened my days. Not only have the teachers been kind but just the community in general. The girls are very kind and welcoming. I look forward to coming to school every day.

The best experience I've had was on one of the many student retreats, where I connected with my peers and made lifelong friendships. Although, I think there should be more diversity, as there is only 5-6 students of color in each classroom and the white students are very open with their racism so it can create an environment that is challenging for students of color.
