Because the school doesn't have sufficient funding, many of the academic opportunities are taken away from the students. For example, the doesn't have teachers for many classes (pre calc, stat, apes, etc) which limits the student's college readiness. More over, the funding issue is so bad that the science department budget given to the env. sci. teacher was only about $180 for the entire semester (might be entire year, but an not entirely sure).

My daughter moved to Jay M Robinson her Sophomore year and had a wonderful experience during her time there. Her teachers were always supportive, had great communication and the curriculum was challenging in a positive way. The school offers many extra curricular activities and plenty of courses to...

JMRHS is an excellent school with many opportunities for all students. As a mother of two bright but not athletic sons, they found Ms. Boger's theater arts classes to be a great niche. Quiz Bowl was another great way to connect and excel and all their teachers were caring and skilled at engaging the...

As the mother of two JMRHS students, I am thrilled with the education our sons are getting. The teachers are dedicated and involved and challenge them daily. Extra-curricular activities abound, offering something for everyone. It's a large school, but it doesn't feel like one.
