GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I think the only problem I've faced so far st Newtech has been the fact that the district often actively undermines it. For instance, Newtech was known for having laptops for students. The district removed that despite the fact much of Newtech's curriculum RELIES on applications that only work on laptops.

I enjoy New Tech because of the culture. The people and friends I have made at this school have honestly changed my life. New Tech culture is so engaging and accepting, and I truly wake up to go to school because of my schoolmates and the love and passion of my faculty. While I think New Tech could improve on things like class options and smoothing out the project-based learning experience, I believe the culture makes this school special and great.

New Tech High at Coppell is the perfect school for those wanting a smaller, more tightly connected community. The school truly lives up to this statement. There are so many opportunities to connect with others and has a school culture that could not be formed at a large school.

This school was awful. Administrators abusing power to try and create scapegoats, classes that teach you nothing unless they stray away from the Project-Based-Learning I was so excited about previously. I'm glad they keep bringing up shutting this school at every city meeting, because it certainly d...

I came to New Tech thinking it would be a great fit for me. I was so excited and eager to start this new school environment. The first week of school I already wanted to transfer. Teachers don't seem to care about the students, principal is ignorant to students problems, and it's not at all how it's...

My son transfered to New Tech after feeling totally overwhelmed by Coppell High School. He started as a Junior at New Tech and wish I would have sent him here since the beginning. He loved this school. Smaller classes, more attention from teachers, the kids that attend this school seem like they wan...

New tech follows project based learning (PBL). Unlike traditional schools, learners are graded on team work, accountability, oral and written communication. Students form teams to do projects and present in class just like in real world. There are fewer students compared to CHS, so students get more...
