I have loved high school since I started o wish I could be there forever. The memories and teacher connection I have made through the years has been so amazing and I'm grateful for them all.

My over all experience at Montezuma Cortez high school has been filled with lots of ups and downs. I have made some of my best friends here. I have had good connections with teachers. The coaches of the sports could have been better. But over all I'm excited to leave and start a new chapter in life.

MCHS has good opportunities, however many are things that students will need to push or reach for. The extracurriculars at least as far as sports, music, and theater go are quite nice, especially the latter two. If you are looking for a school that can prepare you for higher education MCHS has AP programs which are a great way to work ahead or even just to prepare for some ocllege level courses. If you are looking for a school to do athletics other than band at in the hope of going higher I do think there are a number of better options withint a about an hours drive. But overall I would say that MCHS has a good space, good people, and invested teachers.

As a member of the Cortez community, a father of five, and a teacher, I would say that Montezuma-Cortez High School is a strong school, working hard with limited resources. The administration may not appear to care when you are a student who is in trouble, and they have to be disciplinarians, but th...

I have two children attending this school, I am actively trying to find an alternative. This is the worst school I have ever seen. The staff are thugs, or burnt out. No one cares. Spoke with the counselor about my son having issues in the math class he was in, and they recommended he drop out and ju...

I'm currently a student at MCHS and the teachers are definitely not the problem. I've had great teachers in every class, every year. The issue is the students that don't care about their education, the students that constantly ditch and never participate or pay attention when they actually are in cl...

I am a student at the school and the students seem to not care as do the teachers. But not all of the teachers dont care. And building a new school would be beneficial But the main problem Is the staff.
