GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I like how my school isn't in a super urban area, so I feel a bit safer. I do like how my school has a votech center. I also enjoy the 4 blocks per semester schedule. I don't appreciate the racist and homophobic kids in my school. The school bathrooms are bad and I wish they would reopen the large bathroom. In the other bathrooms most of the sinks don't work and they are dirty.

Overall its a average school compared to others but they lack the means of teaching kids about college and readying them for the real world.

I love this school. My 3 kids, all with different educational needs, are better for attending this school. I count myself fortunate to live in a rural county with such an excellent public school.

It appears as if a few The only positive thing that can be said for Southampton High School is there are a FEW good teachers. Unfortunately, those teachers can only do what the school board & admin. allow them to do, which isn't much. Success at SHS doesn't depend so much on WHAT you know, but rathe...

My children have been involved in this school for the past 3 years and I am not at all impressed! The teachers and admin leave a lot to be desired! There are some teachers that are great however many that we have encountered are less than I would reccommend! I have seen teachers give students the an...

I believe teachers should not yell at children. That does not reflect self-control nor teach children how to handle situations. It teaches inappropriate use of power. It is with knowledge and complaints allowed from both teachers and bus drivers.
