GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school is just now starting to make big difference. They are actually starting to listen to students and make changes. Over the summer they redid a classroom and made it look like a home. It's really cozy and vibrant. New classes based on students desires. The sports are pretty good for a small school. There's so many clubs like the hope club, Christian club, inclusitivity club and so many more. There's a lot more Coxsackie-Athens High School can do to make it better but a least they're starting.

Overall, the school was pretty good. Coming from different schools in the past and even going through the pandemic they handled it pretty well. However, they need to weed out some teachers and deal with serious issues better.

Most of the staff really cares. The students can be nice but it's high school. Some mean, some just angry, some depressed. It's a very bland school. Sports programs are average.

Obviously, if you're the type of student or parent that has typos in your review, you won't rate any school highly. Or if your child gets suspended for certain acts. My siblings and I have been attending this school for a long time, and I believe it's severely underrated. The staff DO care about the...
