I went to South Oldham Middle School for all three years. I loved it there. The teachers and administration were amazing. I learned a lot there academically and personally. I made many friends there as well. My 8th grade year was the best year. I took one high school class which was math, but it did prepare me for high school. All my 8th grade teachers prepared me for high school even though it was cut short.

Very good faculty in all 4 main middle school subjects throughout the years, as well as many passionate arts and humanities teachers. Sports teams are great, but borrow a lot of things from the high school.

i go to this school from my time here teachers are grate but kids are vary mean they make fun of other kids and teachers dont do much kids make it not learnable from my time being here i have a nother year sadly do not let your kids go here i went to OCATS for drawing a pic cuz i was mad cuz no one...

I was so disappointed by this school. Elementary schools in the district are in general really good, but South Middle school really is not. If you are not assigned to the gifted program, you will be in essence ignored in middle school. This is regardless of how you do or how much you try to stay and...

If your child is an average kiddo, gets along with others, has no learning differences or special needs, and is OK with large groups, they will be fine here. If your child has any learning differences or special needs, I would encourage you to look elsewhere if you can.

I enjoy my years here at SOMS! I met and made so many new friends who are kind and loving- and I love my teachers too. There is something for everybody and there are people who care for you at South!
