MVHS definitely has a ton of resources for students, offers tons of AP courses, and is a well funded school, BUT the academic pressure and culture is cripping beyond comprehension.

I liked the amount of resources I had offered to me when I went to Monta Vista High School. The only good things about Monta Vista are the accessibility to Stem opportunities and its readiness for college. Other than that its a toxic work environment to students as well as teachers.

Monta Vista is the type of place where the students, teachers, and parents all understand the pressure that everyone applies on each other and nobody does anything. That being said, it prepared me well for college and the people, while competitive, pushed me to my limits as well as being my friends.

My two kids attended the school, it prepared them for college. The teachers are amazing, facilities are pretty good and the community is caring snd loving.
