Custer High School does not have as many academic opportunities as most people would like. Most classes are fairly easy to pass and slow pace. Most classes, unless they are advanced placement or honors, move slow enough so that everyone can move together. Those who excel at the subject do not often get to move ahead.

I graduated from Custer High School. My experience was great the teachers are willing to work with students on a one on one bases. The teachers also do not make you feel dumb or stupid if you need help. My science teacher was one of the best teachers I had not only was he a science teacher but he was a coach as well. I learned a lot from the man. Homecoming week in Custer was interesting as well. This is the time for the students, faculty, and parents to get involved. The joy that comes out of it lasts a life time. Custer is a great place to get a amazing education is a small community. Everyone is willing to help as long as the student takes the time and put the effort in.

At Custer High, there are some very great teachers. I love most of the staff, however, some could definitely change. I am very impressed with our choir teacher. Depending on the sport, we have very good teams.

Administration is horrible. They do not deal with troublesome teachers who have numerous complaints in their files and do not seem to be cohesive with their community or with their school board. Students are accepting for the most part.
