I like the friendliness of most of the staff at CHS, I mostly connected with the school counselor and my FCCLA advisor my senior year because of personal issues that were going on and I was able to communicate with both to solve certain issues. I also fell in love with the pottery course that is given at CHS. I never thought of myself as a potter and then I found one of my hidden talents.

I have moved to Custer end of 2015. The school directly accepted me as one of them. It's a small school what is good when you have some learning disability. Most teachers are excellent with the curriculum. I had the chance to join one of the best track & field teams in west river territory. Custer High School is like a big family that encourages you to fight the subjects you are struggling in. All in all a great school.

Like every school, there is good and bad in the programs. For example, the arts have been cut and diminished; but are finally making a comeback in these last few years.

Administration is horrible. They do not deal with troublesome teachers who have numerous complaints in their files and do not seem to be cohesive with their community or with their school board. Students are accepting for the most part.
