GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My school is one of the top high schools in Virginia. We are the only accredited high school in the city of Danville. We offer all advanced classes as well as a range of ither classes such as early college, AET, AP, Honors, and IB classes. Starting in the fall of 2022, our school will be moving to a larger campus and transforming into an all IB school. Besides academics, we have an amazing track and cross-country team. We also have a great soccer and swim team. Most of all we have great staff members who care for us and treat us like we are their own.

I love Galileo Magnet High School. The classes are small and the teachers really care about their students. The classes they offer are advanced are higher. I started track my Freshman year and started Cross Country in my Sophomore year with indoor and outdoor track. This school has offered me so much more opportunity then the other high schools in the area could have offered me. I feel like they have really prepared me for College.

I personally think it was beneficial because of the smaller classes and the amazing teachers. Many teachers would like to see you succeed and will do everything in their power to help.
