DCD offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere that has persisted in our two years here so far. We immediately felt valued and most importantly felt that our child was "seen" for who they truly are. Our son loves DCD, his friends, teachers and is so proud to be part of a community that validates a child as a very important part of our world.

Before we found DCD, our daughter was barely surviving - she was feeling lost in school. Now she is thriving and loves going to school each day. We are grateful for DCD!

I am a 1948 graduate of DCD. In addition all my siblings, Elinor, Thomas, and Isabella, were/are graduates of DCD. Our mother, Isabella Halsted, taught art at UCD when I was a student. My DCD education set my stage for matriculation to Roxbury Latin and, subsequently, to Stanford University.

I love DCD because it is a private school that really focuses on keeping their students grounded in the real world. The kids that graduate understand their privileged station in life and are ready to take on the world!

DCD has been everything we had hoped for our son, and more. We have good public schools, so moving him was a tough decision. But he needed a different learning environment in order to truly show what he can do and grow into his own strengths. Public school only asked him to do what he didn’t do well...
