UA was a very welcoming community. Was a small school and very rigorous but all the girls were very supportive of each other due to that rigor.

Caveat emptor. Looks great on the surface, but much of the support evaporates once your student is enrolled. Our child was a transfer student who experienced multiple disquieting interactions with faculty who seemed more focused on shaming her than investing in her growth and development.
