Lots of good things with some spotty bad things. Administration will sometimes over or under compensate, and some teachers are either under qualified or mix their personal beliefs with the curriculum. The school also cares far more about sports performance than academic performance, and it shows.

It is ok, not the best teachers in some subjects however. Food sucks. Sports are to much of the focus.

School needs more challenge and focus on academics. Also, the school food is not great at all. There is a substantial lack of AP courses and computer science courses that I would have liked to have.

On September 12, 2013 we stopped by the Van Wert, Ohio McDonalds. As we pulled in we noticed the Defiance school bus in the lot. Upon entering the building with our two grandchildren, we saw a large party of Defiance girls in line to order. At that point, one of the girls said why don't you go ahead...

We just recently moved here. We come from a previous school of high excellence, however, my freshman son is challenged here as well. They have a wonderful guidance counselor and staff.
