The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

I thought it was decent, and it does have good teachers. Most of my teachers were very good. We also have very big honors classes which can either be very good or very bad. You also have access to the Running Start program which is good.

My experience ar Mount Baker has been a fairly average one. I can't say I enjoyed it too much, but I also can't say it was that bad. The staff is overall very supportive of the students, though there are some shortcomings. I think they could pay more attention to the personal well-being of students.
Teachers here do not challenge the kids enough. They are teaching them basic stuff when they should be advancing on. Several students get caught up into drugs and bad friendships which leads to bad grades and failing classes. Not much support for kids who don't do sports or extracurricular activitie...

The staff has been excellent with their support during tough times, and though b...
My son attended Nooksack Valley till we told them that they needed to get him some help as he was ADD and learning disabled. They argued with us that he should be medicated. So they plunked him straight into special education classes, then he was teased. So I enrolled him in Mount Baker and he reall...
