Derby High School has always been good to me- teachers, coaches, sports, etc. It's a very welcoming atmosphere where it's pretty easy to fit in. Teachers are there to help you succeed and get you to where you want to be in life- well, mostly to graduation in particular. The students there know how to make life fun and make your time at DHS memorable.

It not the staff it security to stop me to go to my class I see of lots of security at lunch time I can go downstairs to class no more I have to go back upstairs back to lunch

some of the teachers do an excellent job and really care, others, so so. administration is terrible, they will not work with parents or students. if you are a football fan, then this will work for you, that is where all the attention ( and money) goes. school is too large, but as another viewer wrot...

From the time I enrolled my child in the Derby school district in 6th grade, neither him and I were never accepted. Once those teachers put a “label” on a child, it sticks with him/her throughout the rest of their years in the Derby school district.
