I think it's a great school. Sure some teachers (pretty much just one) are annoying but they still teach us things. I'm only in 6th grade but the math teacher teaches the 8th graders highschool math. The food sometimes could be better but they have to serve it. They also have safety steps in the preschool classroom and they can climb out the window from the basement to get out. They also have a lot of programs. Sadly in some grades they don't have gym but in 6th grade we get gym everyday.

There are not enough extracurricular activities at the school usually because there are not enough resources to supply a quality after-school program.

Poor leadership! This school has low expectations! Students are 2 or 3 grades behind in an application school. It's best to send your child elsewhere for a good education. Don't be bamboozled by the words, "application school." Do you want a name or an quality education for your child(ren.)

I really like FLICS, I must warn you this school came be a little over the top at times. There are so many student organizations, committees etc. that this elementary school could rival any high school. Plan on volunteering, chaperoning, etc., its a very hands-on environment, but aren't our kids wor...

Terrible. I did not expect the caliber of students at this school to be no different than the typical low performing school in Detroit.
