U of D Jesuit offers an amazing education, preparing for college. I have friends in public school and my regular classes are equivalent to their honors classes. The teachers are willing to help the students succeed if the student is showing effort. I would like to see more variety in the cafeteria.

I started out u of d In the academy and this year was my first normal year at the school due to Covid. The academics are great and I believe that there is not too much or not too little homework. Apush is a different story. The school is very diverse as people come from all over metro Detroit. Many teachers have retired over the years but from that we have gained some new great ones. Ms. Alioto is one of the good ones. However my personal favorite would have to be Mr. Shubnell he is very organized and gets things done. As it being a college prep school I'm sure it gets us very ready for college. Anyone that leaves u of d and goes to college says u of d prepared them very well for it. There is a huge amount of clubs for anyone to join from sailing to the debate team. Safety is a big priority at u of d. The head of security was a former member of the FBI and has many great strategies for the school. UDJ doesn't only prepare you for college but life as well. Go Cubs.

Great 4 Years of High School and ready for college. I felt that being about to go in person during most the COVID-19 pandemic was key. The school already was preparing me for college and the fact that expectation stayed the same during the pandemics shows the commitment to the students and their education. Attending a Jesuit high school has prepared me for my future.

The school has lost a lot of teachers over the past two years. The administration is out of touch with parents and students and is slow to adjust to a changing world of technology. The school offers little support for students who are non-athletes.

Focused on helping young men grow into men for others, which is a noble and very difficult undertaking. Very academically challenging so if you are looking for a “typical” high school experience, UofD Jesuit may not be for you.

I have two sons who started at The Academy and are now in The High. When I tell you the amount of rigor is at a high level, I mean it.Along with that, I believe the amount of rigor will prepare them beyond high school.Social-Emotional- Excellent-Staff was right there when our family needed some extr...
