GreatSchools Rating

Source: GreatSchools
GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I like to see more extracurricular activities or clubs that match my interests. Or perhaps some updates to the facilities or more school events to bring everyone together.

Detroit High School is a great small town country school. It's amazing how a small community works around a school like this. The academics obviously aren't as great or thorough as a bigger school districts is. Detroit has teachers come and go a lot, as well as coaches. Overall though, it's a great little school.

I really appreciate the fact that we have such a supportive community! Our Cheerleaders raised over 4 thousand dollars to supplement the cost of going to NCA Camp at TCU. The cheerleaders "did us proud", and received 2 superior ribbons and 2 spirit stick awards as well as a first place mascot award....
