Jamesville-Dewitt high school has a lot of issues that the school board lets fly over their head. The large diversity at JD makes it harder for some people to fit in, and there is a lot of racism in the school district that is brought up by parents at the school board meetings and the board doesn't respond to these problems at our school. Instead they talk about the money and the financial situation the school is in.

Jamesville-Dewitt high school was a very typical high-school experience. All departments have talented teachers and although you might have a teacher that doesn't work well with you, you can always find support.

I would like to see an increase in diversity and equity among students. As well as more discussion between parents in administration to fix the problems within the school. There has not been much discussion about the SRO and hall monitor situation and a believe that needs to be addressed.

Our child has asked for electives but due to excuse after excuse the classes have not been scheduled. Other students with different councillors...

Jamesville DeWitt High School has offered me opportunities that I don't think many other area public schools offer. I have been involved in many of the schools well run clubs and have seen the vast majority of my teachers be professionals who both have a passion for their classes and a gift for educ...
