GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The diversity here is abismal. The academics are pretty good but I can't compare it other schools because I've never been to any.

The best part about attending union Mine is the people that you meet. I have met so many amazing people that have changed my life. My favorite was my cross country coach. He basically motivated my to do anything I wanted. Now I'm here apply to college and looking for scholarships. It was truly a great experience and I will definitely it.

Union Mine is overall a great high school, they help prepare you for college and offer many wonderful AP classes. The only negative side of the school are some of the administrators. They are very strict about people being in their cars before and after school, and you get little to no privacy.

Newest high school in El Dorado County, well maintained and clean campus. Parental and teacher encouragement, student accountability, and positive reinforcement will help students do well.

We moved here my daughters sophomore year and as parents we were concerned about the usual, bullying, academics and general happiness of our daughter. We have been very pleased. The kids were very welcoming and friendly to her. The academics, are not as rigorous as San Diego, there is plenty of oppo...

Our son is just starting his Sophomore year. After going to 13 -yes 13- different high schools myself, I must say, Union Mine is an absolute joy! They are extremely student focused. The block schedule is amazing. Special "D-back" days allow kids to either make up missed work or enjoy extra-curricula...
