GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

BCHS is an amazing school, with a great environment. It is limited in the classes it can offer in person, as most small schools are, but the teachers genuinely care about helping their students succeed, and the students treat each other with respect.

Beaverhead County High School is a very good school. The school has very good sports programs and have done extremely well in the past. However, I feel that more emphasis is put on sports than music and academic extracurricular activities.

There is a slight bias towards athletes, but only because many of the teachers are also coaches who have therefore developed strong relationships with the athletes. The A.P. courses taught were excellent and I w...

The Feb 2010 & Aug 2009 reviews sound like the school my kids went to. I had 3 kids come through Dillon schools & it was repressive & depressing, with favoritism toward certain athletes, etc. In the very first reviews, the student reviewer claims that they gave her a good education, then misspells 2...

Repressive and depressing place to go to school. Administration is overcontrolling and there is little room left for free expression. Faculty for the most part could use improvement and favoritism to students who participate in certian sports is obvious.

This school prepares students well for life beyond highschool (college or not). I am an engineer and I was well prepared for college life and more. The school has many extra-curricular activities and has expanding its advanced placement courses since I was there.
