Great school in my opinion, despite the problems we thought. We were better off than a lot of neighboring schools and safety wise there was rarely a concern. Administration was usually very cooperative and helpful, with a range of issues. Tight-knit community made it feel more than just school, thankful for the experiences I had there.

my experience with nothern was very negative. the bullying at this school is horrific, and many other students agree. if you have any sort of difference, you will be criticized and dehumanized for it, and little to nothing is done to the bullies. i have been physically attacked in this school multiple times and nothing was done. most teachers are kind and supportive, but when it comes to punishment to bad students, it is left up to the higher ups. most of the time they do nothing. overall, northern is a pretty negative place. i was bullied out of the school and put online. many bad things happened to me, and it was made clear to me from day one that i would not be safe in this building. there are positive things about this school, but the disrespect often overrules any positivity. they preach about their care for bullying yet time and time again, nothing was done to protect me.

I loved how diverse this high school is and the staff are absolutely wonderful. Everyone is there to help and they all want to see you succeed. I would like to see a little more help from guidance counselors with preparing for college and getting everything we need earlier.

This school is an avergae school for academics and sports and is probably great if you fit the mold of Straight, white, evangelical, conservative. No inclusivity or tolerance. Dangerous and politically charged school board being guided in part by a christian nationalist law firm, ILC.
