There are teachers who are more concerned about their image than their students (specifically 7th grade math). Putting quotes of themselves on special cards as a sign of encouragement when the student fails, even though the reason the student fails is due to lack of support from said teacher.

I was a smart kid and had a lot of fun. We had a bunch of field trips leaving less smart kids behind. We had the opportunity to go to Boston. I was taught very well and had fun in advanced classes.
