I started going to Long Trail in 7th grade, I did not know anyone and was very nervous. Long Trail did a great job with welcoming new people into the community. Long trail encourages students to try new things and be involved in the community. They have an amazing music and arts program. They also are a great college prep school, almost everyone who goes to college says Long Trail helped so much.

Long Trail is a small very unique school. It's different than the average large highschool but in a good way. Everyone knows everyone, and the teachers really genuinely care about you and take the time to get to know you outside of the classroom. LTS also offers a lot of really cool trips including the Out West trip.

Its a decent school, starting to go downhill. It used to be so open and friendly and the teachers used to be friendlier. Alum would always come back to visit and loved their teachers

My daughter is thriving both academically and socially/emotionally at LTS. The teachers and team are phenomenal with middle and high school age people. Highly recommend.

My son thrives at this amazing school. He has supportive teachers that care for him deeply, a diverse group of friends who are caring rather than competitive, and unlimited opportunites for growth and leadership. We are so grateful for LTS, and look forward to sending his younger sibling next year.

Long Trail is an outstanding independent school in beautiful Dorset Vermont. Our kids absolutely love it there! The faculty go above and beyond to provide a safe, supportive environment for students to excel academically and pursue their passions.

We see our daughter thriving in this school. There's always academic help when she needs it, and we are very happy with all the academic activities the school provides. We recommend this school.
