We ve had a great experience so far. My son’s been there almost a year. Teachers really care. Kids are nice. My son is in the CSARTS program and was accepted by all the neighborhood kids right away. Cindy in the front office is as good as it gets.

Maxwell Academy was a traumatic experience for our family. If you’re considering having your child attend for their baccalaureate, bilingual program, look elsewhere, especially if your child is not in the student majority demographic.

This school was once adequate, but that changed with a new, unqualified principal. Run from this school if you have a child with special education needs. They don’t even have anyone in charge of special education this year. It’s a mess.

The principal is by far the best principal I have ever met. We have been at a few schools and Maxwell is a little gem of a school. Mandarin, Piano, Choir, and Computer Lab are just the added benefits of Maxwell elementary. My kids are very happy hear and so am I!
