GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

For living in a small town, you don't experience as much as being in the big city. Being a Tiger at Dunsmuir High School has been the most enjoyable experience for myself.

Our school just got renovated over the summer because of a grant awarded to us and our school looks amazing now. it underwent complete renovation and is a lot better looking. The high school advisors are really not that helpful and they don't really know what they are talking about and often give you the wrong information. Our computer lab is awesome because we just got new computers and a new computer lab.

The food is alright. A lot of it this year has been frozen food which is terrible even though our culinary arts instructor is a chef and owns a few different restaruants. Before this year we had a different culinary arts teacher and she made very good food and took suggestions, plus the class consisted of the students making lunch which was very fun and very hands on.
