GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I am only a sophomore so I do not yet have the entire high school experience yet but this is my opinion of Dupo High School. One of the main things I would change about my school would be to increase the diversity but it is a predominantly white school/area. Most of the rated topics were about average, not the best but could have been worse. Although it may be a small school, I have had a lot one teacher - student relations than you would find in a larger school. Overall it is an average school.

What I like about Dupo High School is that you can get help from all teachers. They hate to see students give up. They would like to see the cell phone policy go away so more students can concentrate more in class.

There is definitely room for improvement. I graduated a couple of years ago and once I got to college it was a whole different ballgame. If I wouldn't have taken the advanced courses the school offered I would have fallen behind in basic college classes. I have a younger sibling that is still enrolled here and she constantly comes home with busy work and mindless projects. The greatest thing about the school is that it is small so there is room for a lot of one on one with the instructors.

I have had a good experience at this school. The teachers and administrators give their best effort to teach and support the students. The issues that are ran into are the families and students not putting effort into their education and development. There are individualized issues because of teache...

As a current student I wouldn’t say the school is that bad. It is lacking some extracurricular activities, but I am greatful for my education. The lunches are mid but somewhat edible. They are understaffed sometimes but who cares.

I graduated in 1972 from Dupo High School. During my high school career I felt that the school had a lot to offer. The quality of the teachers at that time was very good. there were many after school activities. Sports, band, student government and and other clubs related to educational and skill bu...
