The best parts are certainly the resources, students, academics, and living space (Durham), but the facilities are not very good and the food is quite bad, especially for students with dietary restrictions.

My experience at the North Carolina School of Science and Math was overwhelmingly positive. If I had any quams with it whatsoever it would be with the overwhelming lack of athletic student support. It was incredibly hard to pursue an athletic lifestyle while living on campus.

Attending the North Carolina School of Science and Math is genuinely one of the best things that has happened to me. Not only has it both prepared me for college by it's academically rigorous program, residential setup, and vast amount of oppurtunities, but the school culture is so supportive and caring, and you feel the community as soon as you step into the building.
