GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I loved the diverse range of classes throughout my high school experience. I felt like I was taking courses that were tailored towards the students. Teachers are flexible, and easy to work with, and best of all, passionate about helping students succeed.

I do enjoy the school but sometimes the environment is not the best. People have their own groups and if you try to join a different one they will look at you differently.

They pay attention to the least helpful aspects of the students day to day life, such as parent meetings etc.. when they really should be paying attention to the students mental health in safety.

This school is quite tolerant of bullying, ranging from name-calling, malicious gossip, stealing to physical assault. Namely, ORHS has been witness to violent incidents caused...

Regardless of how many times parents and students have complained to the school about bullying, no progress is ever made. It’s very disappointing that the school claims to stand against bullying but never lives up to the ideals they teach. The bullying in Oyster River has only been exacerbating, esp...

Many teachers contribute to putting students’ mental health at risk by assigning at least 3 to 4 hours of homework every day. Parents and students have repeatedly addressed this issue to the school, but always fall on deaf ears. Adults use the excuse that students aren’t working hard enough. Further...
