The East Middle School is dedicated to "empowering all students to be enriched socially and culturally." Educating sixth through eighth graders in Farmington Hills, East Middle School strives inspires students with vibrant programming in the fine and performing arts.
In addition to core classes in English, science, math, and social studies, students can participate in band, orchestra or choir, as well as courses in technology, world languages and art. Seventh and eighth graders add advanced math and Ancient World and U.S. History studies to the core curriculum and electives in engineering technologies. Over 50% of the student body joins East Middle School's band, orchestra, choirs or theater group.
East Middle School's East Theater Department supports a 19-year tradition of student productions that most recently included “The Day the Internet Died” and "Willy Wonka Jr," featuring over 100 students.
East Middle School students engage in character building though the school's Positivity Project initiative. Students get involved in a structured activity like fundraising or a charity drive to learn the power of service.
The Titans play to win in basketball, football, volleyball, wrestling, cross country and track.
