An individualized and distinctively structured academic experience is provided to eager Eastpointe students at Pleasantview Elementary School, which serves students in grades 3-5. The Eastpointe Community Schools' innovative approach to education starts with rethinking the traditional K–5 framework and strategically grouping kids by grade level. This enables every school to individually tailor its physical and academic settings for each age group. The Pleasantview Elementary School staff works to develop all students' leadership skills and to establish a community of content, healthy students and leaders. The school is committed to the academic, social, and emotional development of its pupils, as suggested by its mission statement. A well-rounded curriculum is taught to students, with a focus on tried-and-true methods that cater to the needs of all students. Pleasantview students also have the chance to take part in after-school mentoring programs, the Student Lighthouse Team, robotics, the media club, and other activities.

Bad experience with this School, they tried to diagnose my child with a condition he never had. I know the thought behind that was funding for the School, after all Schools get money if they have Students with conditions. If I could give this school a 2.5 star rating I would. Because it just borders the line of average. It's not a bad school but it's not a excellent one either. Class sizes are over crowded as most public schools in eastpointe are. It all depends on the teacher however if she/he can control the class...

Pleasantview may have been a decent school when earlier reviews were posted, but it has really gone downhill. It's downright terrible, and I'm trying to get my kids into another district.
