My first year is pretty good! So I'm not exactly sure about much but off of my first impression and because of band I really enjoy it!!

I Graduated in the 2025 class. My four years here were great but of course they're things that could've been fixed more efficiently. One being out math program we went through so many math teacher during my years of high school. One because the teachers weren't really qualified or two the students ran over them. this got better my senior year and I hope it continues to grow.

My experience at Mattie T. Blount was a caring community. The Teachers and councilor helped me a lot during my time as a student. They are the reason i decided to push through and actually pick a college to through rough times in a single parent home . The worst experience I encountered at school was the food I wish school lunch was better when there.

This school was subject to a 2011 Federal lawsuit due to discriminatory suspension of students. They were suspended, not for behavior problems or fighting or even for academic violations. Some students received suspensions for 50 days simply for having a shirt that wasn't completely tucked in. In on...

Blount honestly needs improvement.I wouldn't reccomend it to any student who wishes to enjoy there high school experience. The band is pretty good though.
