My experience had some ups and down but overall my experience here for the past 4 years has been good. The support from the alumni is great and the academics are successful. We have a 94% graduation rate and we have been brought off the failing list because of 24'. The band is GREAT and big representation of the school. The football team needs some work but overall the sports are good. I would recommend coming here.

The experience I have had at The Mattie T. Blount Highschool has overall been nice. A change I would like to see is more dual enrollment classes.

Blount high school is a great school. The facility is big on education and want all kids to graduate and be ready to go out in the real world.

This school was subject to a 2011 Federal lawsuit due to discriminatory suspension of students. They were suspended, not for behavior problems or fighting or even for academic violations. Some students received suspensions for 50 days simply for having a shirt that wasn't completely tucked in. In on...

Blount honestly needs improvement.I wouldn't reccomend it to any student who wishes to enjoy there high school experience. The band is pretty good though.
