GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

East Carter is a very small and close-knit school, everyone knows just about everyone. I enjoyed how close I was able to get with my teachers.

I would not come back to East Carter again because everything is based on social class. In order to succeed here you must play sports or have parents who played sports that attended East Carter. With it being a small school there is nowhere for privacy and there is always drama. No one cares about you, and only cares for themselves, and to get themselves higher up in the social levels

The school is more sports based and focuses more on the athletes and activities of sports. Academics aren't as big of a deal as they should be and give students who care about their grades and college to fall behind because of a lack of opportunity to do better.
