GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My time at Cameron County High School was a decent high school experience. There are clubs to be involved in and the teachers are helpful. Its a good school community to be a part of.

Unless you have a name in the school there is no help or influence. They do not offer help to children in a fair way for anything. The curriculum does not aid to the want of the child. When they go on to college courses they are not prepared.

The teachers act like they are your parents. Very good and I feel very safe and I can tell that I am getting an education.

I am a 1979 graduate of CCHS. For those posting negative reviews - hey, look in the mirror and see the problem! My education was excellent and many of my class members have achieved admirable success. No one is going to hand you anything in this life.
