Cornerstone Park
Clayton Elementary, located at 475 West Union Avenue, Englewood, is a School of Arts and Technology. Educating Kindergarten through grade 6, Clayton staff members are dedicated to educating the whole child: Head—academic growth, Hand--creativity, and Heart—becoming caring, conscientious citizens. This mission is accomplished through traditional academics supported and enhanced through art, music, STEAM, and the Spartan Edge Fitness & Reading Literacy Camp.
The Colorado Department of Education has twice recognized this dedication with the Centers of Excellence Award.
While serving approximately 425 students, Clayton provides One-on-one technology distribution for students of all grades with access to over 3000 electronic books. Students participate in full-year art, music, PE, drama, STEAM, and specials in social/emotional development and problem-solving skills.
Once a year, the entire school collaborates for Arts Alive Week.
The building is transformed into an art gallery and hosts outside artistic performances and other artworks for students and faculty to enjoy.
Students can participate in afterschool clubs, including Lego Robotics, Engineering & Coding Camp, and the Spartan Edge Fitness and Reading Literacy camp. Before and after school care is provided by Champions. Students can enjoy daily hot breakfast and lunch and additional support for special education, gifted students, and culturally and linguistically diverse learners.
