GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall, GBCS is a great alternative for students with different learning styles with its project based learning structure. That being said, the school does have many issues with encouraging diversity and inclusion of all students. There is also a general lack of social and academic accountability for both students and teachers.

The teachers are very accommodating ! I struggled so much in WHS but when I arrived to GBECS my whole life changed for the better. I am happy to say I am a GBECS alumni! It was a life changing experience ! The teachers care so much!

GBCS has been life changing for my children who learn much better in a hands-on, project-based way instead of sitting at desks being taught out of a textbook. Classes are small and each and every teacher is able to get t...

This school is terrible the class work is nonexistent the administration isn't professional, and the class work is at a 6th grade level at best it leaches of public-school funding. It's the school you send kids you don't care about to, so they don't bother people.

We made the switch to GBCS during covid last year and I wish we had known about them sooner! It's been a wonderful school for our high school student and they have blossomed with the small class size and attention. Being able to take Science courses next door at the Seacoast School of Technology has...

During Covid closings and management in the public school district, we opted to move to GBCS. Wow! We should have done it much sooner. Great school, outstanding staff and teachers across the board, and the project based learning approach vs core curriculum has been a refreshing change. We initially...
