I disliked most of the staff. From 4th or 5th grade to 6th grade, there was a thing called "The Book" which had a sheet of paper with 3 blank rows for each student in the class. Whenever a student did something wrong (if the teacher thought it was wrong), the student would have to write in the book what they did wrong and (maybe) how they won't do it again. At the end of the week, any student who had to write in the book would have to take their paper home to their parent/guardian, have them sign it, and return it to the teacher. I once had to write in the book for drawing on my own paper, which was never turned in for a grade anyway. Why was it wrong to draw on my paper? Who knows. I didn't know then, and I don't know now. The food sucked too. The portions were too small for 4th-6th grade. It wasn't fair for a 6th grader to be getting the same portion sizes as a kindergartner.

The school is a family-friendly environment that feels safe and welcoming. However, it would benefit from more support from the county in providing well-trained and responsible teachers who can actively involve families in their child’s learning through stronger communication.

I love this school as it’s a wide range of students from all backgrounds. There are wonderful people around.

This school is extremely toxic with horrible bullying that is not dealt with in a timely or effective manner. My child was terribly bullied. Despite knowing there were issues, on a number of occasions these children were allowed to be around my child resulting in, at times, injury. This was all with...

Our child was a student at GBE till 6th grade. Since the current regime took over just prior to COVID GBE has gotten worse and worse in terms of academics, toxic environment, and administrative indifference to all of the above.
