GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best part of Lawrence for me is the teachers there. There are a surplus of great teachers that are ready and willing to help kids succeed. Of course there are some not great ones, but overall they make the school better.

This school is great but has a lot of troubled kids and a few good teachers while the academics are good but the school mainly cares about sports while having options for other thing like theater and club Fridays that you pick and participate in its maine focus is sports

My experience at Lawrence high school wasn't great, I experienced a lot of racism from both the students and teachers and the school academically wasn't outstanding I mean some teachers would try their best but most teachers would not care about how you're doing in their class, the teachers are also very rude and at overall it's not a very friendly school and the school is not diverse at all, I was one of the only two black kids in the whole entire school.

After several attempts to view the curriculum from K-12 communicating directly to the staff, administration, school board and the Department of Education Office in Augusta, one year later a curriculum was provided by the Superintendent for our review. The curriculum provided was incomplete and out d...

Being a Senior at LHS in a few weeks, I strongly feel that there is a bullying problem, some of the teachers do not care, and if I had to say anything good, it would be that the food is WAY BETTER than the food served at Benton Elementary School.
