Lemon Road Elementary School, which first opened in 1956, is located in the quiet neighborhood between Pimmit Hills and Falls Church. This prekindergarten through sixth grade school is home to approximately 700 students. The bright, inviting and colorful halls are a rainbow display of the arts and learning of its students. Also lining the halls are indoor exercises, a display of staff’s dedication to the health and well-being of the students. Students will spend time in the natural settings of Pimmit Run through the school’s outdoor education program. I loved my time at lemon road and I still maintain a connection with my previous teachers. Everyone was very nice when I was there and they had a lot of developing programs in place when they were a much smaller school to bring the community together.
