I don't see a lot of peer pressure. People are generally pretty accepting, at least in their own social circle. People tend to stick to their circles, especially during these years of school. Lawrence is a majority white school, although there is a fair amount of people of different skin tones and ethnicities. This is not a problem; the vast majority of people there are not racist against others. There's not a lot for people to get involved in with the school though. Not many clubs, and if you don't play an instrument of do some other form or art then there's not a lot of choice for you. The administration also doesn't do a great job of getting people involved in things like the community or fundraising, although you do see smaller projects. There's no VIPS office there to help promote volunteers.
