GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

most of the teachers were understanding and kind, but they always seemed stressed out and many left after their first year at the school. It always seemed understaffed, but I suppose that could be due to the lack of teachers in general. The music program at the school was absolutely superb, and that was ultimately what made my high school experience worth it.

My experience with Piedra Vista High School has been good so far. I graduate this year and can gladly say that I have had a successful high school experience, and got to learn many new things. I started out my freshman year virtually because that is when we were in a pandemic, however, things only went uphill from there.

It has a great community of faculty and students who make you feel welcome into the school. Really good athletics but, some prejudice against lower class students.
