My experience in high school has changed throughout my time. Our school is K-12, and the middle school is one with the high school. I feel that this gives middle school students an opportunity to get the feel of high school and be less scared for their freshmen year. One of the downsides to our school is the sports, although many of our teams are great, it has a greater impact on the school. I have learned over my years that the teachers that are coaches, are less likely to put effort into teaching us than the teachers that are here for the main purpose of teaching.

My experience at Mid-Buchanan Senior High has been welcoming, and comforting in a close community. The parents and teachers are very involved in sports, and clubs. However, the variety of class options are low, and I don't feel prepared for college. Many students aren't engaged in classes and a lot of times we do busy work.

The overall experience of the school of fine the administration while I have been here has changed quite frequently and it can be inconstant.

We have a daughter at Mid-Buchanan and we are very happy with her education and teacher quality. The parents and the staff are very involved and give the children many educational opportunities.

I agree with the parent's review (see 2006 review). The school hires ex-students to teach there so the 'good old boy' attitude continues.
