Located in Downtown Fayetteville, Arkansas, The New School is a well-rated private institution serving children from one year old through high school graduation. It enrolls over 400 students, and uniforms are not required. Founded in 1971, The New School began as a preschool and eventually evolved to include every grade. Through its many changes, the institution remains committed to its mission to develop engaged, compassionate students who love learning and work well with others. The approach seems to be working, as 100% of graduating seniors are accepted into four-year universities and colleges. The school offers Advanced Placement and pre-Advanced Placement courses, as well as a comprehensive arts program that includes instruction in music, performing and visual arts. There’s even a music scholarship program for students to receive individualized instruction from renowned artists. In the past, students have had the opportunity to work with Grammy-nominated performers! The New School features various types of athletics for middle and upper school students. In fact, 75% of students in grades seven through 12 take part in sports here. Alongside such teams as basketball, volleyball and track and field are less common offerings like bowling, swimming and golf. There’s also a Tinkering Studio and an Innovation Center, two spaces where students learn about technology through project-based interactive experiences. In addition, The New School provides before- and after-care programs to support students and parents.

I felt a strong sense of community from the moment I started working here. I have always felt like I have a voice here and that my opinion truly does matter. I believe that our school provides such a unique experience for students that you can't find elsewhere in NWA. I have enjoyed my time here and am looking forward to the future of the school!

The New School is a wonderful and nurturing place that our son has thrived at for 13 years! The academic excellence and superb faculty and staff are one of the main reasons we love it so much! TNS also is very good at understanding our sons needs and challenging him at all opportunities!

We have been part of the TNS community for almost 4 years now. My children started in the ECE program and have now grown into the lower school. It is amazing to see and experience the genuine care and excitement the faculty and staff have for my children, no - for ALL the children. I am talking from...

Overall, very positive. My son has some social delays but is a very bright and creative student who needs a lot of nurturing and positive encouragement. We started the school year at our local public school, and it was NOT a good fit for him. Once he switched to this school, his anxiety levels went...

My two children have been at The New School since 2012 and we absolutely love it. We initially chose TNS for its small class size (maximum of 18 kids per class), and have continued to love the individual attention that each of our children get. It has made a huge impact on their engagement and inter...

My son loves the New School and so do I. When kids don't want to leave, I believe that sends a strong message about the quality of learning and care received. I love the focus on academic excellence, while infusing a sense of community, strong social skills and a want and desire to learn. They focus...
