The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

When I went to fern teen it was the year covid really took action and it was my freshman year of night school I was glade that I was able to make new friend and have a group of teachers that I was able to talk to when I needed them the most. They really care for the kids that step in that building and I am not just saying this just to say this, they really had helped me get through graduating and they have helped me get to college something that I did not see myself doing.

It was alright but I could've went to a better school. My teachers seemed to care about my well-being and offered help anytime I asked. The administration kinda sucked. They were all mean from the start. There was maybe 1 or 2 that didn't have a mean first interaction with me. Id like to see the academy structure changed to make it easier for students and the school also need a remodeling.

what was my experience like at Fern Creek was an interesting experience The good parts was we had teachers that cared and wanted us to succeed and graduate and wanted us to pass. The bad part about going to Fern Creek was the students was bad and would do things that would make the school do things that wasn't fun or would make me want to come to school.
I feel like the school is like run down and that they never fix anything that is broke there bathrooms are trashy and the doors don't even lock, students smoke in the hallways and bathrooms and then the school counselor sucks and has a bad attitude, half of the students are dress inappropriate they...
This school has an accountability and drug problem. Students openly use drugs in the bathrooms and sell in hallways and classrooms. JCPS has a policy against drug use or possession but they do not enforce this policy.
This school has come a long way the last few years. The sense of pride among students is growing and teachers are some of the most enthusiastic and innovative I have ever seen.
I have had 3 children attend this school and in the past 3 years as the school "states its making progress" its not. For starters, the leadership at the school does not effectively deal with real issues. Bullying, stalking, threats, are among the top concerns at this school. The principal is more co...
