The diverse atmosphere allows students several opportunities to develop. The students have several different routes they can choose from which allows them access to various activities and resources not available in other schools.

Academics are a high point but discipline and overall attitude of the kids needs improvement. The aftermath of Covid took its toll but it's time to get back to normal, meaning the rules and procedures we had before about cellphones and dress code and other things. We have become too lax about some of these things and it's giving the students the opportunity to test the boundaries and not have a stable learning environment.

The Good: I absolutely love the staff and resources available at FMS. The students are able to take Encore classes and extracurricular activities that most people could only dream of getting to take or participate in.The Bad: Some of my students are very disrespectful and/or defiant.

The staff and administrators truly work hard to put the kids first! They come in early, stay late, and use every available minute of the school day to make sure they are working for the best way to educate each and every student at FMS!

Great school! Multiple communication channels for parents to access school-related information. There is a very large variety of extra-curricula activities to be involved in so there is something for all interests.

Florence Middle School has a place for every student, no matter their interests. We offer multiple opportunities for students to be engaged in academics, extra-curricular activities, and athletics. I don't know of another school with such a diverse population and with so much available for students....
