George J. Ryan was a great school. I made many friends and the teachers helped me in every way possible. As far as studying after school and after school activities, I would rate my experience a 10/10. It is a big school with a lot of students which made my experience a bit more difficult, but overall, very satisfied and upset I never truly got to experience 8th grade, due to quarantine.

I went to this school when Dr. Landeau was still principal. He's probably been there for decades, and we were one of the few blue ribbon schools during my senior year. Only complaints during my time there are the school being dirty and old, and the cafeteria food being gross, but that's very common among schools in the city. Ever since he left, the place seems to be slowly degrading, with bad administration and racial incidents.

Honestly the teachers were all nice and there were a lot of activities and special events that got everyone together. My experiences there were extremely memorable and I appreciate going there since it helped build a major part of my character whether it was the schools activities, the teachers, or the people I befriended there :)

Think again… the principal is never available, he sends everyone around him to do his work. The only person that is possible to communicate is the Per...

This school is nothing short of ridiculous when it comes to handling conflict/problems in between students. I once had a fellow peer of mine constantly throw food in my direction during lunch, and it became incredibly bothersome, yet none of the staff ever did anything about the situation. Yet, when...

Students here are unruly, disrespectful, and completely undisciplined!! The school staff don’t enforce punishments where punishments are due, so the students just go wild! Do NOT send your kids here, I personally would never recommend this school to ANYONE!!!
