there is a strict no bullying policy it is enforced and the school feels safe.There is a greeter up front who will not allow anyone in until she buzzes them in. A police officer visits the school often i see one almost every day. Anti drug assemblies are very often as well.They bring in x addicts to encourage the students to remain drug free.The school has lock down drills fire drills exterior threat drills interior treat drills, evacuation drills often so that the students feel confident about what to do in the event of an emergency. The school nurse is wonderful she helps everyone even the staff.

the extracurricular opportunities at the school are plentiful they offer basketball,football,soccer,drama,chorus,art club,builders club,intergenerational club, math club,cheer leading,wrestling, i am sure there is more but the point is they offer something for everyone. If a student is not involved in an activity they just don't want to because they have access to lots of choices. not everyone is an athlete some are good at math or chess and some are good with instruments others with singing and acting.
