GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I'd say the Community High School of Fort Kent needs more diversity in color and culture. The school also needs more art related clubs, rather than just sports.

Performance based grading system, my child was the first class to experience the change. I like the overall goal. But I don't want children to always think they can re-do things so they don't try their best the first time. I've had many parents communicate a similar concern to me throughout the past 4 years . Although some are grateful for reteaching and reassessment, others are worried that we are not preparing their children for the \"real world.\" In the real word you are held accountable for your work and you need to do your best the first time and many occupations do not allow to do rework. Deadline are enforced. I feel this system is not preparing student for adult work scenarios and expectations.

At Fort Kent Community High School, there is something for everyone. The sports teams are very competitive, with nearly all of them being in the playoffs this year. The teachers are very interactive and will come in early and stay late for their students. Every year there is a week for a winter carnival, this is extremely important as it increases school pride.
